VENUE MANAGER - BLUTES

Blute's Bar is one of Brisbane's most unique entertainment venues, combining karaoke, private functions, birthdays, hens and bucks parties, corporate events and late-night hospitality. We are looking for an experienced and energetic Venue Manager to take ownership of the venue and help lead the next chapter of its growth.

This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who genuinely enjoys hospitality, loves working with people and isn't afraid of a late night. We are looking for someone who can create a great atmosphere for guests while ensuring the venue operates efficiently, profitably and compliantly.

As Venue Manager, you will be responsible for the overall operation of the venue. You will help lead a team of casual and permanent staff, oversee service standards, manage private functions and events, and ensure every guest leaves having had an exceptional experience.

A large part of the role involves building relationships with guests, clients and regular patrons. Whether it is a corporate function, a 100-person birthday party or a packed karaoke night, you will be responsible for ensuring the event is executed seamlessly and that guests receive outstanding service from start to finish.

You will also be responsible for venue administration and financial performance. This includes managing rosters and labour costs, monitoring sales performance, controlling stock, investigating variances and wastage, placing orders, managing supplier relationships and ensuring the venue meets agreed financial targets. Attention to detail and strong commercial awareness are essential.

Compliance will form an important part of the role. You will act as an Approved Manager and ensure the venue remains compliant with all liquor licensing, RSA and workplace health and safety obligations. You will oversee incident reporting, venue documentation, security procedures and ensure all staff understand and follow venue policies.

We are looking for someone who leads from the front. The ideal candidate will be comfortable jumping behind the bar during a busy service, assisting with a function setup, training a new team member or helping resolve an issue on the floor. This is not a desk-based management position. We want someone who enjoys being part of the action and setting the standard for the rest of the team.

To be considered for this role, applicants must have previous hospitality management experience, hold a current RMLV certificate and Queensland Approved Manager's Licence, and be available to work nights and weekends. Strong communication skills, excellent organisational abilities and a genuine passion for hospitality are essential.
